The name Ajayi Oluwatobi may not immediately ring a bell but that is because he is set to dominate the Nigerian automobile market very soon.
Quiet unassuming, Ajayi Oluwatobi says he wants Nigerians to be able to afford cars at about the same rate it goes for in their manufacturing countries. According to him, Nigerians deserve the best value for their money.
Just like the now-famous Nnewi car manufacturer, Innocent Chukwuma, Ajayi Oluwatobi is another name that is getting set to dominate the Nigerian auto market with the Nord Motion brand of which he is the Founder/CEO.
According to him, ”Nigerians deserve the best value for their money. A decent, safe, brand new car in Japan will retail for about 16,000 USD equivalent, the same car will retail for about 16,500 USD in the USA, however, the same car will retail for about 45,000 USD in Nigeria” he tweeted via his Twitter account on the 9th of September.
Tweeting further he said, ”We are building a company that is offering Nigerians cars with that same quality for about 17,500 USD equivalent. We are offering Nigerians world class vehicles at globally competitive prices as it should be. Efficiency and value creation always.”
He believes that Nigerians can do it, and just like the Innoson brand has shown, the auto market is waiting for daring entrepreneurs who are willing to take on the challenge.
