Due to the layoffs of thousands of its employees in almost all countries where it has its presence, over 1,400 staff members of Twitter Inc. have joined Blind, an app that provides an anonymous forum, or community for verified employees to discuss and interact with each other on matters that bother them about their work-life challenges, since the takeover by the new CEO, Elon Musk.

It should be noted that the Tesla CEO, upon completion of the total takeover of the social media app in a deal estimated to be worth a huge amount of $44 billion, fired four top executives, including the former CEO, Parag Agrawal; general counsel, Sean Edgett; and the company’s Chief Legal Officer, Vijaya Gadde.

Just a few days after the company laid off these top executives, most of its staff in Africa and other countries also got sacked without prior notice or an official statement as regards the development.

According to Blind‘s co-founder, Kyum Kim, about 95% of Twitter’s remaining workers are now on Blind. He added that more than 950 reviews of Twitter have been posted by its employees since 2020.

Blind was launched in the United States in 2015, but got its start the year prior in South Korea, where the founder operates the business.

The app allows users to get instant advice from professionals like them, make a review of the company they work for, connect with each other’s colleagues, elevate one’s career, and mingle with other users anonymously.

According to its official website page, the app has registered over 200,000 companies and 7 million verified professionals. According to Forbes, the app is used worldwide and is influencing corporate decisions by giving executives information about employees’ concerns.
