Entrepreneurs have a unique viewpoint to life. They see opportunities where others see only gloom and disaster. They see solutions where others see problems.
That is what best describes the man Balogun Danjuma who is the brain behind Chipsy Plantain Chips, a unique brand on the go snack with a unique feel. A graduate of political science from the University of Ado Ekiti and an M.Sc from the University of Ibadan, Balogun says his dream is to build a company that will become the Kelloggs of Africa. And with his company’s flagship brand ‘Chipsy’, the former sales account manager at Smile Communications Nigeria looks all set to turn that dream into a reality.

According to him, some months back, he sent a Whatsapp message to a few of his high networth friends who have now since turned investment partners to invest a couple of millions in his business bond in a bid to actualise the dream.
Few months later, he launched a Nigerian Snacks Company, Manitar Multidynamics and the company today has released its first product, ‘Chipsy Plantain Chips’.
He says it feels great to taste the crunchy, tasty and nutritious plantain chips. And while the product is still just in its early stages of launch, it appears set to take its place among its equals. With an inviting packaging that can compete alongside any major snack brand, Balogun has sure done his homework.
As a competition, it looks set to do well with its introductory pricing going for N4,000 for a bag of 50 pieces while a bag of 100 with an extra 5 packs goes for N8,000. As a catch, he announced via his Twitter account saying that inside one of the bags is a free ticket to Dubai for one lucky winner!
