A new documentary chronicling the journey to glory of Nigeria’s Golden Eagles at the 1996 Atlanta games is set to be released.
The documentary which is being made by London-based Pictures Dorothy, an independent feature film production company set u by award winning Producer, Julia Nottingham is currently being shot and expected to be out by 2022.
Upon release, it will be shown at international film festivals and promises to be a good visual for soccer lovers especially Nigerians to relive the memories building up to the Golden Eagles win of gold at the tournament.
According to the Producers, the documentary promises to be a credible depiction and celebration of Nigeria.
The documentary will be directed by award winning film maker Yemi Bamiro whose recent film ‘One Man & His Shoes’ received global recognition
According to the documentary producers the are currently sourcing for as much original and authentic archive of the tournament.
Footages or photos from the public can be contributed to the making of the film and will be paid for.
