As Nigeria faces insecurity in different parts of the country, a top real estate firm, Gtext Global, has offered a solution to the Federal Government.
While addressing a group of selected media houses on Wednesday, April 28, the Group Managing Director, Gtext Global, Dr. Stephen Akintayo, said that the only solution to the alarming rate of insecurity in Nigeria was for the government to engage the youths by creating jobs and basic amenities.
He said: “Insecurity is one of the challenges we face in Nigeria. You can’t tackle insecurity with just bullets and bombs. I was in Maiduguri a time ago and I saw that they don’t have jobs and good hospitals there. So tell me why they will not join Boko Haram or bandits? If we want to fight security issues, we have to create jobs. It is also high time the private sectors took a lead role because our business will be affected as well.”
