Prince Shaka Momoh who hails from Edo State was an accomplished industrialist and businessman. He was a graduate of Auchi polytechnic where he studied business administration where the foundation for his entrepreneurial exploits was laid and well known in the Nigerian elite circles.

An astute businessman, he has a long standing list of achievements in the business world with several business outfits to his name. These include:

Basic Information and Communications System Limited (BICS) – a technology and ICT solutions company which various solutions such as e-Government Solution, CRM, HRM, Outsourcing and Education & Training Solutions in Nigeria.
The company boasts of notable international alliances with companies such as AYA Technologies  (Switzerland), CustomerSoft (USA), Knovada (USA) and NIIT (India) with which it has partnership to provide global IT solutions on the national scene.
Hospitality Warehouse – a hospitality products wholesale company.
Baobab Edge Limited – a lifestyle company
Planet One – The notable entertainment spot located on Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, has been preferred entertainment destination spot for years until recently when it fell on bad times.
The edifice still stands today as one of Lagos state’s popular spots for pleasure and entertainment. It houses a boutique hotel, different themed restaurants, bars, wellness center and night club.
It was once the location for the popular TV music reality show, West African Idols, and has once hosted rappers Missy Elliot and The Game in its glory days until it fell on hard times.
The outfit had an entanglement with a huge debt profile with WEMA bank which had a serious effect on its operations and caused the Momoh to go off the radar.
He was also a notable philanthropist who impacted lives with goodwill via his Baobab Foundation.
He died of Coronavirus on Thursday 14th January at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
