The latest disruption from the Opera brand appears to be in here and upon us already.

This is as the news content aggregator has been massively engaged in signing up of social media ‘Influencers’ of every strata into a ‘Writers’ Partnership’ deal, details of which are still sketchy at the moment.

The Opera brand in the last few months has disrupted the Nigerian tech industry with a number of startups all incubated under the umbrella Opay platform.

The news platform is asking anyone and everyone with at least a thousand followers on either of the three major social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

The platform says with this minimum follower count, you can write articles and earn over $100 monthly on its News Hub.

Already, Twitter has been awash lately of photos of individuals, from the very low to the most respected signing up for the ‘Partnership’.

It is curious however what the objective and goal of this latest ‘O’ tsunami is and what the endpoint is.

Recall that the Nigerian business landscape has in the last couple of months seen major setups and drive for different Opera initiatives, the most conspicuous being Oride and Ofood.
