Yesterday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo celebrated the milestone of a Bayelsan farmer, Retson Tedheke, a former Niger Delta Militant who reportedly started his farm 3 years ago with just N1.5 million and 3 hectares of farmland to 3000 hectares of crop and livestock production.
Tweeting yesterday, the Vice President said, ‘In 2017, Reston Tedheke started a farm with 1.5 Million Naira & today, it is worth about 1 Billion Naira Visiting Reston’s farm, I saw a story of national unity and integration: a man from Bayelsa who relocated to the NorthCentral & got free land from the local community.’

Reston started with 3 hectares and is now operating on 3000 hectares.
Reston says he was inspired by President Buhari's focus on Agricultural diversification of the Nigerian economy.
