In Pictures: Heres Nigeria’s Newly Redesigned Naira Notes

President Buhari has today launched the newly redesigned naira notes. The launch of the newly redesigned naira notes took place at the State House in Abuja. Below are pictures of the new naira notes that will replace the old designs effective immediately.

What Changed?

While it appears a new colour change was effected on the newly redesigned naira notes, there however appears not to be any huge difference from the old naira notes. This has also caused many Nigerians to query what exactly changed.

Reactions From Nigerians

As is expected, Nigerians have been reacting to the newly redesigned naira notes. Some of the comments monitored by Exclusive Africa quered why the arabic inscriptions on the naira notes were still there, while others queried the look. Here are some of the top comments:
