Serial entrepreneur and founder of e-commerce platform Konga, Sim Sagaya has announced the launch of a new platform, DevKids.com, a personalized live tutoring service that teaches coding to Grades 4-12. This follows the success so far recorded with his uLesson platform.
Making the announcement via his Twitter handle, Sim says its a platform where kids will be able to explore Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python. Plus a dive in into cyber security, AI and machine learning.
Sim reminisced his growing up years when he got MSX computer from an uncle and that laid the bedrock of his interest in tech which is influencing all that he does today.
He said, “Introducing DevKids.com! At age 10, an uncle of mine – Patrick Umekwe – changed my life when he gifted me an MSX computer. I was enraptured and spent the following years learning how to program in BASIC and nursing a love for tech that lasts till to today->
“These early years are critical to a child and I was lucky. Along with @raydaizy @elishaayooluwa and the rest of the @uLessonApp team, we are super excited to introduce Devkids.com – a highly personalized live tutoring service that teaches coding to Grades 4-12.
According to him, the tutors are not just trained as programmers but also trained to fuel the creativity in kids.
