Meet Michael Iweanya, Head of Payment Solutions at ZInternet

A unique feature under the Konga e-commerce brand is its payment solutions, Zinternet.

Zinternet trades under the Konga group as Kongapay and has as its current Head of Payment, Michael Iweanya.

Recall that Konga bought over Zinternet Nigeria Limited (Zinternet) in 2015 including its mobile money license. This has helped power Konga’s proprietary payment system, KongaPay. And the man powering the payment solution is Michael Iweanya. Below are a few things to know about him:

Michael Iweanya Okafor has over a decade of experience in the areas of Knowledge Management & Training, Project Management, Workforce Management, Customer Management and Payment across 2 key sectors -Telecoms and E-commerce.

He oversees the Kongapay product. Kongapay is a CBN-issued Mobile Money Operator. It is also Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) certified with integration to most banks in Nigeria, thereby acting as a digital bank.

Kongapay enables agents to make commission and profit from rendering services such as Sending and Receiving money, airtime, data, bills payment etc. – This is fast becoming a major revenue earner for agents.

Micheal Iweanya Okafor is one of the speakers billed to speak at the Konga Travels  Affiliates Collaboration & Strategy Meet scheduled to hold on Wednesday May 19 2021.
